Hey there, I’m Annie!
Well… Annie Dawson isn’t actually my real name—but it’s a whole lot easier to remember, and it’s become such a big part of my story.
I’m a beach girl at heart who completely fell in love with the countryside. Sunrises, sunsets, golden light… that’s my happy place. You’ll almost always find me outdoors, chasing that dreamy glow and soaking up time with my beautiful family—my biggest inspiration and the reason I see so much magic in the moments I capture.
Originally from South Africa, I’ve lived in four different countries and travelled the world with my hubby and our three kids (who were all born in different countries—yes, really!). These days, we’re lucky to call sunny Queensland home.
I’m a people lover through and through. I believe in connection, laughter, and always having fun—whether that’s behind the camera or out living life. I speak two languages, love a good adventure, and if you’re wondering… yes, I’m slightly addicted to travelling. Give me a tropical island any day of the week.
A few fun things about me:
- I have identical twin boys… and yes, I still mix them up after 13 years
- I don’t drink coffee (I know!) but I do love a good chia latte
- I’m definitely more of a cocktail girl
- I don’t like chocolate… but somehow love chocolate brownies and dark chocolate ice cream (make it make sense!)
- My favourite date night with my hubby? Going out dancing and clubbing
Photography has been my world for over 13 years now, and I’ve been lucky enough to photograph weddings across different countries. For me, it’s never just about photos—it’s about capturing the feeling, the connection, and those in-between moments that you’ll want to relive forever.
My dream clients are fun-loving, deeply in love, and up for an adventure—especially if it involves that soft, golden hour light. If you’re the kind of couple or family who values real moments over perfection and loves to laugh, move, and just be yourselves… we’re going to get along beautifully.

I am so greatful to have these amazing 4 humans in my life. My constant source of happiness, inspiration and my support system. My doggos haven't made the page yet lol but Luna is the most funniest and energentic black Lab. Rocky aka Mr Dingo the most intelligent Kelpie/Cattle. They complete our little circle.
Annie was our wedding photographer and we couldn’t be happier with our photos. She is incredibly talented and did such an amazing job capturing our day – we absolutely love the images.
On the day she was so impressive to work with. She was confident, organised and very direct in guiding everyone, which made the whole process feel really easy and stress-free. We really appreciated how smoothly she kept everything running.
We were also blown away by how quickly she returned our photos. Reliving the day through them has been so special.
